The grass is about dead here . Been a week since I had been out in the shop and opened the door and was immediately hit with a sharp smell of gas. Uh Oh! Went right over to the 1711 and raised the hood and looked. Sure enough the carb bowl was wet . Pulled the oil dipstick, and it was over the full mark and smelled like gas. Purchased some new oil and another carb rebuild kit. Got the oil drained and redid the carb. I could not find a thing that would indicate a bad float or dirt holding the valve down. The only thing I did not do when I shut the engine down last week was to forget to close the manual fuel shut off valve I installed when I first got the 1711. I am thinking I am going to have to put a new fuel pump on it.

We cut down a partially dead Ash tree and the 127 and agrifab wagon were pressed into service to do clean up.
Also fired up the bug killin 73 and swapped out the skinny rears for these fat skins. I like the look with those round fenders. Trying to talk myself into another engine rebuild on the 73 (8 HP).
Yea the Jubilee snuck in to the pictures too. Was cutting slabs with the 3 pt buzz rig.
Hope things are good in Cub land.
Regards,
Chris

Cool

Nice cubs Chris,I am liking that 73...

Cut the grass with the 107 today...I like a hydro that has no creep or speeds up when mowing...This one does not do that.

Also did some pruning and the 582 wanted to help...

You have a little camber action going on with the front wheels on the log hauling shot Chris? I bet there was a couple pounds in that trailer. :-)

I like the fat tired round fender look!

John,
Very observant! I didn't notice that till last night myself. Looks like a repair to the wagon in that axle pivot area needs to happen in the near future. I cranked it around a little hard one time and must have bent or broke something.
darkminion_17,
I like that 107!, very clean looking machine. But I do have a soft spot for that 1x7 series tractor.
I have to get back out there and sharpen the buzz saw blade. Then cut some pallets.
On VACATION WHEEEE!!!
Regards,
Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
