Looking good camarokidz28

Make sure you get some pictures of this operation. I have never seen anyone tackle a project of that size :biggrin2.gif: I am interested to see how you do it.

Camarokid - I've been thinking about how to make a longer hood if I were to lengthen the frame on my 70, and there it was right in front of my face!!! That's a great idea. I've made gauge pods for my Chevelle, and other various items with fiberglass resin and fleece. Looking forward to the seeing the process.

What front rims did you use? They look factory, but cubs have 6.00" don't they?
I want to use tri ribs, that are really narrow, like 4.00"
But I'm not sure what will fit my 124. I have 3/4" spindles.

Toyman, I can fab you a hood, that will look factory, just need paint...no filler.
Just give me a length.
I've been a panel maker for 10 years. Do mostly prewar Italian and French cars.
A Tractor hood is Easy Beans.

eastonct124-

All of our cubs have 8" front wheels. It looks like he put the narrow front tires on the wider wheels meant for 16-6.50-8 tires.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
