Thanks Diz! I'm hoping as well! If the 5 digit clutch is ok I'm going to mow with it.

Nice O's! I need to come and help you out with the seat time.

Nice O's guys. Makes me wanna find one again.

Duke,
Better start the test drive with the one on the right. Then call up your worst neighbor and have them test out the left one. That seat probably just won't feel too good.

Got lots of seat pans. Some how that seat came off during the trip from IL to MI to NC with the seat and carriage bolt and nut landing within 8" inches of each other.

NOTHING!

But i'm making my 48" deck pretty, sanded all the starting pits that had rust, treated them & my wife says it looks preety. Thats all that matters?

Not museum quality, but it will last for a loooooooong time.
Nik,

.
A partial look before when it was UGLY.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
