Yesterday I picked up this blade for 50 bucks. It has all original paint on it and is in amazing shape. Then after seeing all the 100s at plow days last weekend it made me miss mine so much. Mine was torn down to do some clutch repair so I threw her back together. I ended up putting a 109 motor in it tho because the original motor lacked power and I think the compression spring fell off the cam. Its so nice to have a normal muffler instead of a pepper pot now

Nick,
Nice score and sweet setup. My 169 used to get snow duty, but I "retired" her for now. She's still got the grenade gears and I don't wanna window the block while throwing snow. Gotta get those darn things out of there one of these days. So the 1650 (without built in grenades) it taking over the duties this winter. That is if we get any snow. The weather guessers are saying a warmer/less precip. winter than usual in the western US. They don't know about the eastern US yet. Here's the timeline:

(Man, I need to lay off the emoticons!)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
