Thanks! The cool thing is that ever since I was a kid I always said that I was going to have an old mower and it turns out I got one.

As for the cart, I have been wondering what one it was. How do you differentiate the different models? Hopefully this summer I can get it sanded down and get some new paint on that as well just to clean it up some.

Good looking 1210, you have there!

Did some grass killing with this setup over the weekend. Can't believe the amount of time it has saved me. Hopefully continues to serve me well.

I ordered this XT3 GS in May of this year and really like it so far. I opted for another 42" deck because of the really nice cut I get from my old 2166 plus the ease of servicing a twin blade deck.

Thank you very much; it's a hoss and the speed coupled with a tighter turning radius has really reduced the mowing time on our 2 acre yard.

IHCubCadet147 & ACecil you guys have some sweet Cubs, there just aren't any of those in our neck of the woods. As a matter of fact I had to order the XT3 sight unseen because dealers in the southern states only stock either the XT1 or XT2, I guess it's just the demographics.
Anyway, I have always enjoyed seeing the vintage Cubs like you guys have for sure. They were built like tanks compared to most of what's available in today's market.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
