My wiring harness from Mike Lamar came in today. All I can say is wow, he makes a heck of a nice harness for a great price. Includes every wire that you could possibly need. It took me all of 5 minutes to install it, due to his quality touch of labeling each connection and where it needs to go. Here are some pics of the harness and what it looks like installed.

I also found a great use for a QL engine cradle snubber. I only had the one. If anyone happens to have one they wouldn't mind donating to the cause I would be very appreciative.

No pics for this report yet, I was too worn out, LOL. The drive plate pilot bushing for the clutch shaft finally came in Sat. I was able to get it installed along with the clutch safety switch spring lever. All I can say is that removing an engine from a clutch is a whole lot easier than putting it back in by yourself, LOL. But at any rate the engine is in and connected and bolted down. All of the wiring is connected except for the Solenoid. I have to pick up a solenoid Wed. along with a few bolts and nuts to finish things up. "If", everything works out correctly I hope to have it started Wed or Thur. Keep your fingers crossed.

Time for another update and some pics. Roy Najecki was kind enough to send me a WF PTO adjustment tool. Again, thanks Roy. Will have some money headed your way Wed. After Adjusting the PTO with the correct tool, I thought I would check it with the NF tool just for giggles and see how much difference there would be. Guess what? Both tools showed the PTO being adjusted perfectly. Both of the ends of each tool along with the center points touched exactly the same, with the difference being the WF touched the outer shoulder of the plate and the NF tool touched the inner flat area of the plate. So, if I am correct in thinking, one should be able to use either tool to adjust a WF PTO. I can't comment yet on weather or not you can adjust a NF PTO with a WF took, but I would think so. I have some pics of both tools set up after adjustment. Let me know what you think.

First, the motor installed and bolted in.

The correct WF PTO Tool. Disregard the Cigar

PTO Before adjustment with spring fingers backed off.

PTO Correctly adjusted

PTO correctly adjusted with the NF Tool. As you can see it seats perfectly too.

Another NF tool view

And lastly, as I had mentioned I lost the steering wheel center decal metal plate. I took some tape and made a template I will use to cut a new one.

I was able to order a new solenoid, spark plug wire kit, starter/gen belt, and the steering wheel nut. Those should be in by Wed. So I will post up more pics later.

Come to find out, that whoever rebuilt the clutch on the 128 in the past did not use that spacer.

I have that exact same precision tool! Nice to have the right tool for the job!
Comes in handy for many jobs.

I only wish mine would come out looking 1/10th as nice. Great work.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
