The bench set is mortised, tenoned and then pinned, like an old barn, out of pieces I hand dimensioned to 4" by 4". No screws, nails or glue. The back insets are also shaped from solid pieces of White Oak and hand dimensioned to 4" thick and I think about 8-9" wide. I then cut the curves out with a simple jig. They represent three months of my life! I love the smell of cut White Oak so it was time well spent. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I could see that with Teak. I've had an opportunity to work with some 12/4 black walnut and sassafras, but most local mills around here don't want to cut and dry anything over 8/4 stuff. Really cool pics!!

Thanks Allen!
I'm thinking that since I need to replace my 129's muffler I might do something similar to what you did to your tractors. I like that look! |

I work for the local Heat and Frost Insulators union. I spent 9 yrs in the USAF doing airframe repair and got out just after Desert Storm. I worked in a couple of local metal fab shops, a construction company and commercial cleaning company before joining the union. My wife and I are volunteers under the Natl. Fragile X Foundation raising awareness, providing family support, and raising money for research in western Missouri. We have 3 kids affected by Fragile X syndrome, one grandson affected, and my wife's nephew and two nieces also affected.
Our Cub 122 was bought for the sole purpose to pull a barrel train for our fundraisers so kids can get something fun for nothing more than a smile. I commend all of you here who have already helped make our 122 a better machine for the kids' enjoyment!

This is the company I work for by day. http://www.eaceuroparts.com/ I do sales and customer service from my home office full time M-F. I also got a full time night job recently at a famous brewery. http://www.3floyds.com/ I'm working as a host at the brew pub in the evenings. Place can be a real madhouse. On any given night there can be an hours wait for any seat in the house. Fun place to work though, great staff and even better beers.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
