Mercer, you said that is Sherwin Williams paint? I really like the way it came out. Gives a nice "wet look". I'll bet it will shed dirt and grime well and be easy to keep clean. I painted a lot of my smaller parts with CC rattle cans. VERY expensive and came out with a sort of satin finish. After I use the CC paint I have, I may just go get some of the SW paint and give my CC a top-coat with it.

The desiccant filter came from Harbor Freight for like $5-$6. We have a local one here.
Yep it's Sherwin Williams auto paint. Originally the guy told me he could sell it for $165/gal and I said NO WAY!! I told him I paid $65/gal for the Iron Gard Yellow and $45/gal for the White. He wouldn't sell me reducer and hardener for the Iron Gard. When I went back and asked him to cross reference a NAPA reducer # (made by Sherwin Williams), he offered to match the Iron Gard price .I don't know if it's the same quality that he told me was $165/gal, but it does set up nice and hard after a couple of days and has a heck of a shine. I probably could have used a fish eye remover as you can see some 'marks' in it when you look close, but it's not for show. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
