When I put the narrows on the 1282, I just swapped out the spindle's took about 5 mins. and I can put it back to factory if I want to. Never though about the bushing idea, but agree with you about the wear on the spindle. I think for all the more it take's to switch out the spindle's I'll go that route. I have a set of narrow rim's already so I just need a set of spindle's, I'm headed to Pattonacre's next week sometime I'll see if Rich has a set then. That's good to know about cutting the rims and narrowing them, if I ever get a FEL, I can switch back to 1" spindle's and could always narrow the rims. First I need to put hydro lift on the 1282 then I can look for a FEL.

The red 82 series should be the cub cadet beige. If they're painted with a good original looking brand paint they'll look white in most lighting conditions like my 782.

I thought the 82's had the IH 935 white on them, like the quiet lines. These look very beige in almost all lighting.

IH 935 is right, I have a bad habit of calling it beige since it's off-white looking compared to the older white.

It's supposed to look beige like that. I've had some un-faded ones that looked like that color. I'd leave them be.

I may just do that, Matt. It depends on the light I think, lol. I think I'm just looking for something to do to it, and I'm not having much luck. I'm used to having to do all kinds of stuff to them before I can use them, and this one already has it all done. Guess I need to keep the old "If it ain't broke don't fix it" thought in my head. Thanks for the advice.

I agree with matt after looking closer at your pics. The white currently looks pretty good. In some sunlight at the correct angles it'll look whiter.

Keep in mind that against the white snow, the wheels will look especially beige. Colors are kind of relative, after all.

Yep good point, I noticed it when it was in the shop and it looks much darker in the snow. The light make all the difference in the world in the color. I took the wax to them tonight and after all the dirt was cleaned off they look a lot lighter. I'm not gonna mess with them they look good the way they are. Thanks for the advice.

I think the PO knew how to put down a coat of paint. Looks good, buffed and waxed.
