I had a really bad front right tire and turns out they both were really dry rotted so I put on some Deestone Tri-ribs and freshened up the paint on the wheels! First time putting tires on myself and I was pleased. Rears are next once I find the source.

I got my new driveshaft from Jeff, and put my 147 back together. It’s all ready to take it for a test drive in the morning.

Repaired the 109's broken PTO brake, wave washer gone, button worn away and snap ring fit mangled , hole wobbled out on the disc welded shut and redrilled ! First time working on a pto with brake, don't think too much of this setup ! Seems kinda mickey mouse particularly the wave washer and snap ring that holds the disc doesn't seem to want to stay in place very well ! Anyone else have issues with this or a better fix ? Based on parts diagram it appears that the wave washer goes behind the snap ring and keeps pressure on the disc towards the pto to keep it away from the brake shoe when engaged ?

Dreamed about it. Hard to sneak out to pick it up when the family farm is getting ready for a certain group of hooved guests from Budweiser. Busy busy busy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
