I don't have a way to upload or even take pics but I'll see if he will make an account to post some. Got the engine mounts made, axle moved forward to clear oil pan, clutch 3pin driver mounted. Just need one injector as it has a bad one then we can test drive it. |

I ordered the new boots for the 1864 today! They will be in tomorrow. Just got to take the tires off and drop them off to be mounted and reinstall. I've got to order the fronts still. My local dealer wasn't able to get the V61's for me. Miller Tire here I come.

I've been working on the diesel today. Got the both the engine oil and tranny oil drained and filters changed along with pulling the valve cover to adjust the loose rocker arms. Man whoever designed the aluminum tranny for these cubs should be shot. It is terrible trying to put new oil in these things. I am stuck trying to fill it through the dip stick tube which at this rate is going to take me hours. Does anybody know of a better way to put oil in these things, there's got to be a better way.

You might want to use a funnel and a small drinking straw that sticks above the bottom of the funnel to let air excape. I believe that I used that on my 2084 and it went a bit quicker.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
