Congrats Allen....the real question is how did it fit in the car - with the back seat down or tied on top?!?!?!

I think its good to have one of each color in the shed. It keeps them from getting too uppity and thinking they can break down on ya at the most inconvenient times.

Congrats Allen! I wouldn't mind having a 330 or 332 around. I spent hundreds of hours on 3xx series JD's growing up, favorite being 318 (that power steering is a spoiler). Looking forward to hearing how it works for you.

Does this mean SamMac is now the owner of a cherry fully loaded 982?

Bill

Nope. Just thinning the herd. When AC mentioned that he was selling the 982 because he wanted a diesel I got in contact with him expecting a no considering that it's Green but when I explained to him that this is probably the nicest used machine that I've ever seen he decided to at least consider it. Seriously guys the only things I've had to do to it was change all the filters and fluids (standard procedure for me on any used stuff I buy) and fix a connection to one of head light bulbs. Don't get me wrong I'm pro IH but in this class the 330 has it all over the 782D. Don't hate just telling it like it is.

Nice Allen. I will admit to having a JD HD75 that's my grass machine, only purpose it has. 54 inch front deck, zero turn with sulky, 17 horse Kawasaki with over 3500 hours on it. However I guess I was late to the party because I was going to ask you to trade the 982 for my 1782 with 60 inch haban. Day late and a dollar short I guess, congrats however, nice machine.

Default Congrats Allen

IF that came from Sam........and going to you.......that thing must be sweet or he never would have let you know about it.

Anything that came out Sam's is top notch.

Hmm...don't remember Sam posting anything on here about working on "Green Stuff" though.

Congrats Allen I "grew up green" as my late Grandfather always had the JD's.

Hope you have good luck with your new machine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
