Welcome anytime Curtis What kind of tractors do you have? Im not brand bias so I drag home anything at the right price and usually flip them. I dont plan on keeping this 126, just get it In working order and then hopefully find someone else interested in restoring it.
I'd like to enter a Cockshutt in the pulls at the Pioneer Acres show but I need to rebuild the engine before that can happen.

Need to watch out for the creeper as well. They are the weak link in pulling. not that a stock tractor has enough umph to break it. just figured i would mention it.

Ive had to fix clutches and shifter forks in CCs but never a creeper, this one seems fine so far. I got the snowblower mounted today so once thats working I can test out the creeper again under load. First I have to fabricate a lift rod for the blower and pick up a belt.

I fabricated a lift rod today so I was able to test the blower... cant stop it tho... someone has put 3 bolts in the pto and locked it up so its always spinning. I was hoping that was just because part of the linkage is missing so I tried pulling the bolts but it just makes a bunch of noise... blower itself worked fine tho.

Im digging the muffler. I can see where there are some cooling holes that have been added. The PTOs are very easy to rebuild tho. can be expensive. I would also replace the bearing that it rides on once you have it off.

I would love to take that 126 off your hands, but for now, living in the city has put a limitation on the size my tractor collection. Take your time before you decide to sell it so that I can try to get myself in a position to add to my collection. Quote:

You can see 1 of the bolts in that pic... I believe there is actually supposed to be set screws in those holes but with bolts there the clutch is physically locked to the outer basket. I'll have to pick up some set screws and fabricate a linkage rod before I can properly test it out. I dont plan of using the tractor so the bolts can stay for now while I get other things in order, I'll can just put the belt on/off as needed.
If your interested Curtis you should come look at it while its in the heated shop, once I have a basic idea of what it needs I'll likely move it back outside... and everything is always for sale around here so I cant promise it will last long now that it actually runs.

Yes. I see the bolt now. Yep, you're right. It's entirely locked together.
I'll see what I can do to get out there to see it. Would be cool to add that tractor. |

I have the tiller mounted on it now aswell, cant test it this time of year but it turns fine and the right angle gearbox seems fine also. I added a small chain to hold it up so its weight can help with winter traction without being added to lift arm.

Put some Bridgestone Dirt Hooks and the OEM rear rims on 126 today. Been working on an exhaust system, the threads in the port are pretty much gone so Im fabricating a manifold that will bolt on, had to pull the grill off to get enough room to drill and tap the block. Should have it mobile in a day or two but all the snow has melted so wont get to actually put it to work for awhile.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
