Not much to report tonite. Picked up a quart of ppg yellow.(by the chart on here) reducer and hardener. Not sure if a quart will paint it all but should be close. Already have the white. Took the rubber seat off the metal frame and cleaned and sanded/wire brushed the seat frame. Got the seat inside, got 20 yrs worth of dirt and grease off it. 30 to go lol. Sanded and brushed 2 of the wheels and primed. Austin and I had sandblasted everything a few yrs ago and had everything to the bare metal, so just a little surface rust to contend with. If neighbors aren't freed up by the time I get a couple days dry weather, I'm gonna try my hand at painting it.

Go for it. You've gotten some practice already. And if there are a few 'sags', It will still be "your sags', and be special, because you did it. Even the new ones had some imperfections.
Great work, by the way!

Ok took your advice and gave the high dollar paint a try started with white because I knew I had plenty lol. It looks really good. A few "sags" (it does sound better than runs) but like you said their "my" sags. If weather cooperates I'll spray some yellow Tommorrow lookin forward to making it look like a tractor again. ........ tires and decals and that's it.... well idk maybe a steering wheel and center hub...... maybe a creeper . Just thinkin out loud

New paint gloss, on clean metal, always brings out the smiles.

Ok got good weather today, 74 degrees (snow Saturday lol)
So I got some of the important yellow parts out and painted them. Overall satisfied. Having to jamb the parts together makes it hard to get at certain spots. I didn't wanna have paint clothes lines all over the yard. Neighbors probably think I'm crazy as it is. Figure I'll give a couple days for paint to cute out a little and start some re assembly. May get it together in time for old timers day parade

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
