![]() o/t: I would like a power-angle, and a better blade some time! I had thought about some sort of a rope system, but then I cant lock the blade side to side. For most of the snow clearing work, I keep the blade angled right or the left depending on which side of the drive has the highest windrow of snow. Push down to the apron of the drive, back up to the top in reverse, and forward again. Clear the bottom of the drive by directing the pile right into the ditch. Then I clean up top of the driveway turn around. Takes a little longer, and consumes more fuel but I have great seat time as the result. On bad snow accumulation days, I head over and clear a littler around my neighbors drive as she's a old widowed woman who lives alone. Her son was the one who gave me a right deal on the new tire chains this year.

Well granted it won't fully retract due to the bolt being tightened but it helps some. I'm not sure how much, never was an issue I thought about concerning myself with; have never seen/heard of these springs going bad or breaking, but anything to help prolong life has got to be a plus.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
