Or my points still set wrong or like you said I have weak spark. Or try a different spark plug.

You can verify spark with plug out and grounded. Also. There should be no sparking at the points. Take a look at points with it running

I'll buy a spark plug tester and take the cover off and have a look. I'm going to put autolite 216 in and see as well. Set it at .035.

Check your grounds... You may have had a couple issues going on here

It could also indicate a bad condenser

Run a temporary ground to Neg side of coil from battery and see if it stops arcing.

I installed brand new wiring harness as well. Main harness and headlights. I made sure everything is cleaned and free of corrosion. I had this thing completely apart and cleaned lol.

Points are not suppose to arc,
BUT in the real world, ya they do a little every time they open.
Also if they are dirty, they will arc more.

So this is interesting. Changing out the spark plug to autolite 216 and gapping to .035 seem to solve everything. 2 full rotation with choke on and half throttle and engine fired up then i gave it about 5 seconds then cut the choke off. Runs fairly smooth. The champion plug took almost 6 or 8 rotation before it fired up. So, I let it warm up and cut her off. I will try again in about 30 minutes and see what she does.

Unfortunately my kohler is burning oil, haha. Blue smoke. So for now to get me through the winter, I put 15w40 rotella. It sits in a climate controlled garage, so starting in cold wont be a issue.

I did not take my points cover off yet to see if its arcing. I will do so just in case.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
