Merk,
I started on Dustin's 800 and am in need of the gasket that goes between the carb and air filter housing. Do you know a source for them? Was told a Kohler from a Deere had the same one...

I don't see why you can't get it anywhere that carries Kohler parts. The number is KH-41-041-11. Tulsa Engine Warehouse and Cub Cadet both have it...not sure why you need to go to a JD dealer.

Same gasket.
Any small motor shop that works on Kohlers can get you the gasket. My local NAPA store is a good source for Kohler parts. Most NAPA stores have or can get you small motor parts. My Son used to work in a small motor shop. I still get Kohler parts from them.

I like to buy parts for my Cubs locally. I will get parts from the sponsors on the top of the page if they are not available locally.

Great pic, medic75!

Good luck, on your 800, Dale. I know it will be sharp, after you are done with it!

I actually CLEANED MY GARAGE today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

The 124, is now backed in, at my work area.
The 64' Broadmoor, is neatly parked in the corner with the front axle on a moving dolly (wheels went on the 124)
And the push mower is about to have it's carb cleaned, and a tune up...ready for spring.

And the wife is happy. I can now leave the garage door open, and she's not embarassed. :biggrin2.gif:

Well today I thought about moving the 782 out of the yard and down to the basement so I can begin to tear it down, but realized it was just too cold.

My blade has snow stick to it too, I just drop in on the ground hard a couple of times next to the snow pile and typically comes right off.

Cant really do that with the hydraulic lifted blade. I just hit it with a broom and it comes off.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
