Well blew snow of course! few inches over the weekend, 4 yesterday, 4 today, expecting 4 tonight and a couple tomorrow, welcome to Lake Effect Snow in Northern Michigan!! I love this place, especially now that I have a Cub to blow with instead of that danged 'ol walk behind! Hope to get some action shots if I can talk the "wifey" in to coming out to take them...

Alright! Get'em ready fellas! Its time!

Got my first go at it this morning myself. The 71 is best equipped for the task than I ever had the tractor so far. Here is the 71 in action:

Possible to be back out tonight, we'll see!

Default Ready for Winter

Here is my heavily modified 1541 with my latest project. I used a Ford power seat motor for the chute rotation and a linear actuator for the deflector. I got to try it this week and it works pretty good. The deflector movement is a little slow. Next time I will get a faster actuator. I used relays along with the joy stick to power the motor and actuator. Next up is a better wiring harness and cleaning it up a little. I did make some compromises because I wanted to be able go back to the old system if this failed. I am sure I will get more chances to play with it over the next couple of months.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
