Not as good a Cub weekend as it should have been!!!
Allen and Jenn, the Cubs look great! Glad you had a good weekend!
After discovering that the chinese diesel will not fit in the 2072 or 782 without serious modification to the frame or engine, it appeared to get worse. I put the mower deck on the 1864. Last weekend I cleaned the underside of the deck and spayed it with EZ Glide that I found at TSC. As soon as I engaged the PTO the AMP light came on I went ahead and mowed what I had to (as the PO had put in a good battery), did my usual blow off, andchecked charging voltage. 12.4 V I pulled the left side panel to check the fuse and found that the voltage regulator plug was half disconnected and arching! reconnected and it is charging now. Amp light still comes on with PTO and headlights at the same time. More diag needed, but its better for now! I built a wounded Cub transporter from recycled material I had laying around and put the 2072 and 782 in the woodshed with the others one big happy Cub family!! I also painted a set of weights I am going to put on the 1864 Sorry I forgot to take the pic of all 4 happily together in the woodshed

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
