mudpup,
Nice 70. And I think I like your box on the front too. Are you going to paint the box? If so what color? |

Diz Jr..about 25 miles from my house..Tore it apart today and cleaned off 20+ years of grit and grime..Not much info out there on these, so I'm winging it..trying to get the 50C deck to work, but the mule drive is missing a few pieces and it seems to be bent a little..also need a belt and some misc nuts and bolts.. trying to figure out what one of the previous owners was trying to do with the frame plates and rod..the carrier is broken, but the rear end seems to be secure...the rod is loose in the plate????..Thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
