I sure wish I had your skillset, I do a hopping weld..lol.. I'd say you have a small fortune in that set up so far. I am kind of thinking I could put a removable set up on the ol 126. We don't get much snow here so would only really need it for the work I do to keep the cold air off me. Now I am contemplating air conditioning for the summer gardening...

Thanks guys. Hoping to get some work done this week on it, but we'll see how that goes.
I was going to get one from a 3 cylinder and see if it would work, but I figured it was just the same to build one from scratch. |

Test fit the PTO clutch tonight. The clutch came from a LX188. The datum diameter is a touch bigger, but I don't think it will be to far out of line for the blower. If there is a problem I can always put a bigger pulley on the blower.

I have two questions for you. What did you do to keep the clutch from rotating and what is your plan for a fan drive for the radiator?

Got to thinking about your heating and cooling setup. As I recall you went with electric heat when you started this project and it had the Kohler engine. Now that you have the water cooled Kubota, would it make more sense to swap the electric heat for a heater and use the engine heat in the cab? I’m just thinking it would be less drag on the alternator not having to power the electric heater along with the PTO and lights. Kubota’s are not known for having much when it comes to alternator output.
Checked out your facebook link, very cool stuff!

I'm going to run a small electric fan off of a Honda cbr1000rr because of the small size and fair amount of air flow. The electric heat will stay in place and I have added a small homemade heater core from 1/2" od copper tubing and copper plate all soldered together over top the electric set up. I have started plumbing the heater core lines tonight and so far so good.
I wanted to keep the electric core because the power supply runs to the back of the machine so I can plug it into the wall and preheat the cab, then once its up and running I can plug back into the inverter and use the electric heat with the water heat if I need the extra warmth. I also got the clutch stay made tonight and I am happy with the fitment. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
