Great information. I just recently purchased a 1572 with a shot drive shaft. So what I need to know is which drive shaft will be the correct length I need to swap it in with Jeff Derstine adapters. Either the 1863 or 1864 cv driveshaft. Thanks in advance!

Also I will not be running the clutch because it does not get cold enough here to ever need it. So I was also wondering if the 1863 or 1864 drive shaft would still work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to a good 'ol Google search, I came across this thread.

Great Info! I own a 1772 and had no idea there were potential issues with the driveshaft. How can I "test" mine to see what condition it is in?

If it fails, what kind of damage can it do? / or does it just leave you stranded?
