I think for the lube, the best thing to use is a mixture of 80/90 weight gear oil and grease.

I think I could do that. I have some grease need to get the 90 Weight oil. and some bearings  Here are some shots as I played in the shop tonight for a hour or so. - belt adjuster cleaned for priming - pulled drive cover from rust tank with hand wired brushed rinsed and dryed - then used the cup wire brush on 4-1/2 grinder to better clean the surface. - welded up the two broken holes with the HF MIG. - and added some primer (looks better) - shot of the center spade or fork in white. Thanks! I may not do much if any filler work on these covers they are going to get trashed in the clay we have, if I every put this into action. Bearings are coming and I should be able to start assembly work in two weeks. Great that you can get to the 100 and start blasting. That means you have done a heck of a lot of work your self to get to that point. Looking forward to the pictures of the frame! I like Matt's idea of hidden bolts to put the tunnel back on. Humm is right I may know where there is one too?
After a little further review I think the extensions were put on this unit about 10 -15 years after it was new. The tines are more wore on the i center sections near the drive box, and the sheet metal was not as rusty. Regards, Chris

Cleaned and primed the other side of the case. This is the flat side with the welded bosses. That was about it for tonight. To lazy to take pictures
. I would like to get this tiller completed before our maple syrup season starts this spring. I may be to busy to work on Cub stuff at that time of the year.Hope things are good in Cub land! Anyone ever sharpen their tines? Regards, Chris
