Got it back on 4 wheels this afternoon. Even if I do have the rear wheels backwards They are coming off later once I decide what I want to do with them.

Years ago we put the tires on the combine like that so if we got stuck going fwd, we could always back up.
-------Don't know if it worked because we didn't stick it.

Started cleaning up the grill and frame this morning. Interesting that there appear to be 3 layers of paint. Top was white, then red and lastly yellow.

Looks really good!! I like how you are cleaning the parts! Is that some kind of electrolysis procedure?

Yes, I wire wheel the heavy stuff off then put them in the electrolysis process. Works good at getting into the nooks and crannies that are hard to get at with a wire wheel and what is left usually comes off a lot easier.

If you look back a bit in this thread you will see that I did the frame and pedestal that way also. I have done wheels also on previous projects. have not decided if I will on this one yet. Only works if you are not in a rush.

That's why I prefer a sandblasted. I did all the parts for a 100 in about two hours.

Yes sandblasting is nice, but I don't have a setup for it. I do have a local guy that does it when I need it.

What kind of sandblasting equipment do you have?

Tim... we all know that you are fast! You put most of us to shame!

I agree sandblasting is the most efficient way to do it... but DANG I hate that hood, long sleeves, and respirator... especially on a hot summer day in GA!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
