First mow of the season. Smelt something burning and realized one side of belt somehow came off over winter. Wasn't that way when parked in fall. Also my PTO didn't want to engage when very hot, it's working fine now?? I don't think the belt had anything to do with it. It was very noticeable when off.

I put a spiral pin in the drive shaft of the 67 102 and got to put it to work for the first time since I've owned it! Today I finally got the steering wheel off of the 66 102. Took the one off of the 67 102 also. The 67 was a piece of cake compared to the 66. I've been working on and off on the 66 for about 6 months. Put a new bushing in the 66 column and put the nice wheel from the 67 on the 66 with Craig's cap. It was a good Cub day!!

First time playing in the dirt.
Dad bought an Agri-fab disc that showed up today. He bought it to rough up the yard for seeding. Not quite ready for that, but I put it together and wanted to see if it would break.
I also wanted to try out Jeff's hitch. Nobody did anything with the garden last year since the farm was on the market. There were a bunch of mounds and wood stove ashes out there so I decided it would be good testing ground. I really need to plow that, but I got it leveled out any way. The 2000 drive shaft held up fine so far, even after some wheelies once I took the blade off the front. Here's a couple pics. Sorry forgot to take some while actually in the dirt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
