Jimbo,
What size are the V61 tires on your 2284? I like the look of them on your tractor.

Had the dual stick out today and did some leveling of the driveway. The leveler is a railroad rail and a piece of angle iron bolted together, been using it for over 25 years now every spring

The front tires are 18x8.5x8 V61's from Miller Tire. GREAT place to buy tires from, can't say enough good things about them

Just my 2 cents, and I'm not trying to start an argument but to me the diesels are over rated. I've had to opportunity to own and run a 1572, a 1772, and a 1782. Sold them all and kept the 2182. Also had a 2284 that I sold, bad move on my part. Back to the regular programing.

Doing some Spring clean up today, pic of the 1863 with the newly mounted V61's on the front. Took the decals off the side today and used goo gone to remove the glue. I think I'm only going to place the "Cub Cadet" plastic letters back on the sides of the hood. Also looking for a replacement seat, maybe with some armrests.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
