I cut grass with the 2182's, ran them each just because they needed to be run.

The 1864 has been on grass killing duty it seems like for 2 weeks straight. Gave it a good cleaning with the air hose tonight. Oh and I had a seriously cut LF tire a week ago. Thanks to the parts 1862 I got from Sam, I had a donor. Found out the non SS axles on the cyclops have the wheels turned around backwards the SS's. But now the valve stem and grease fitting are on the outside (on the LF anyway).

Last week I decided to wake up the 1862 and the 982 and put them in their summer home. No can do! Battery dead on the 1862 Hook up the battery charger for a day and make my way back. Sit on the tractor and hit the key.....doh!!! forgot to disconnect/unplug the charger. Dead.

Fast forward, new solenoid and relay. Solenoid was bad, but the relay was only $8, so I figured I'd replace it. Hit the key and it sprang to life. The 982 fired right up also. When I was younger and these things 'happened', it was because I didn't know any better, now they just seem to happen.

Took the snow blade off of the 149 this afternoon.
Decided to hook up the plow and get the garden turned over.

Then i changed the engine oil, put the mower deck on and did some mowing.

Mowed for a couple hours today with the last 2182 I bought after adjusting the Governor on it. Man what a difference that made. Here's the post on how to do it along with getting rid of a partial throttle surge on the Kubota gassers.

Anyway after a bit of tweaking both my 2182's are running better.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
