Clint it doesn't make sense to keep making these post. Follow the rules and place a want ad like Allen and I have both suggested.

My son posted this, he is headstrong on a 782. 12 years old, I apoligize for him, and gave him permeation to make a post.
He has been wanting a 782 for a couple years now, again I apoligize, and please have patience with him.... he thinks everything has to happen right now or this week, I'm trying to teach him patience etc.. I will say they are hard to come by, and when they do they are pricey. |

here is a good example of waiting. When I first saw my neighbors 1862 I liked it and told him if he ever wanted to sell it let me know. Well that was back in 08 or 09 I think, well he used it up until early 2010 when he was having problems with the motor leaking oil. So he hired me to fix it for him and I told him what he needed and how long it would take but he needed the mower now. So I sold him a M18 I had and told him it had oil seal problems(still fighting that) So it sat for another year until he bought a 782 to do his mowing. Well about oct. Nov of last year I talk to him and he said he needs room in his garage for a zero turn and the 1862 had to go. SO I ended up with it after waiting 3 years to get it. Best of all I got it fairly cheap cause it needed to go.

782
This is one of mine. Just finished getting it back together. Had a blown engine and PO issues. I replaced the Kohler with a 16HP V-Twin Briggs. New paint and Carlisle ags filled with 18 gallons of windsheild washer fluid and weights. Pretty sure I'll need more weight in the front since the transplant. I would like to thank many here for the helpful advice I got through out this progect. brucer95 (son) saved the fenders by welding up some holes left by the PO from what looked like cab mounts or canopy holes. He also made a new debris screen for the underneith.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
