Like the thred so far. Just one question........ I DO NOT WANT TO START A FIGHT EITHER. Can we not call them "guns" please?? They are fire arms. I dont want to get political on why I am asking this. I own 0 (ZERO) "guns", but own many fire arms. Only acceptance for me to use the word "gun" is "shotgun" as I have never heard them called anything else other than by their Gauge size (12 gauge, 20 gauge etc). But a rifle is a rifle, a black powder is a black powder, a pistol is a pistol wether it be single shot, semi auto, revolver etc etc etc. I really hate the word "gun".
Thanks. If anyone uses the word "gun" I will not call them out or be rude. I am only asking. Thanks all!! Love and enjoy your fire arms as much as you do your Cubs!!!! John (CCW holder also)

hand guns are handguns but a pistol is self loading and a revolver, well, it revolves !
As an redleg , a howitzer is like a rifle, it has rifling in the barrel, but the old 175, it was a gun or slick bore. I guess we could all technical but we can save those arguments for a buns and whammo forum!!

I picked up this recently in a trade, if anyone some what local wants its pm me. I will trade for a nice Cub
 serial #115 Which is almost the first one made!!! Mint condition made in 1893.

cc69, I just did a little research on this shot gun and was Amazed. This shot gun may be worth more than you think. I would get it appraised before any trade.

I'd love to find someone to look at it. So far it seems to be the earliest sn# out there. It's the 115th gun the company made! You have to get special black powder 12ga loads to shoot it, I had a local gun smith look it over and he said its in pristine shape, he said thought it would be worth around 1k?

I am impressed with the group of members that we have here. 89 posts in and this thread is still alive and on the right track. Like others, I have participated in several large firearm forums, as well as been a moderator on a forum that combined religion and firearms. Threads can, and do, get out of hand quickly. Especially when politics pokes its head in. Keeping this thread on track is a testament to the caliber of members that we have. Thank you to the moderators for letting this thread ride out to see where it goes.
As far as guns go, I have never met one that I didn't like. If it burns gasoline or gun powder, I probably like it.
