I still want to know if the SEW Honda adapter for the drive shaft was a direct bolt up to the Predator. Did it fit the Predator flywheel without any modifications?

Yes it does, same as the honda pretty much... simple as removing the flywheel guard or cover and removing 3 bolts and adding the SEW spacer and bolting it down with them allen head bolts.... then its just like connecting the driveshaft- simple as can be... Oh and use clippers to make the screen perfect fit over the adapter...

I'm thinking Jeff can fix us up with some spacers and the adapter. I'm gonna do one of these motors someday too. Good job and let us know how it goes.

If I do one I'll just use a PTO for something like a 2180. My big concern was the drive shaft adapter but evidently the HF engine has the same bolt pattern as the Honda. Guess I better order one of those SEW adapters. Jeff could copy them for us. Pics are of an Xtreme PTO on a Vanguard with a 1"shaft in a 2180. I know that they also make those PTO's with the small pulley, Zippy has one on his repowered Super.

Yeah sorry I was trying to post a link to a video, not sure why it didnt work. I still gotta do the electrical, and the 682 gas tank is super clogged and I cant get fuel to drain out of it.. Any suggestions?

Here im just using the 1450 gas tank.

Pull the tank and wash it out. I use Super Clean and water. Remove the fuel shut off valve, clean it out or replace it. Get a new tank bushing and reassemble. New hose and filter and you should be good to go.

Engine sounds GOOD, I want one now. Gotta find a decent tractor with a dead engine now.

You may want to start a thread about this project in the CCC/MTD section. This thread gets buried here in the engine section.

In the MTD/CC section? I thought the 682 was a IH? For the gas tank i put some works toilet bowl cleaner in there and then rinsed it out really well and blew compressed air through the tanks outlet.... Before the works treatment compressed air wouldn't even do it, but after the works, it blew out a nice soupy rusty mixture and cleaned right up. The loader/backhoe plans will be implemented and soon it will be sweet little machine... If anyone knows who did the loader project and was still able to use the deck, and if theres a post to that please link it. As that would be super nice to not have to take the loader off to mow....
