Mike knows something y'all don't, that there is one of his turbocharger kits sitting in my shop! After reading about some of his projects , I contacted Mike and ordered a kit. I'll be putting it on once the tins are done and I've had an hour or two of run time on the tractor to get all the bugs out. Then the whistler goes on!

Oh I can't wait!!

I've been drooling over his kit for a while now!!... only thing I have that I could put a kit on is my 1782 but I use it too much to down it long enough... and i'm not sure if all of the plumbing would fit under the hood of a cyclops.

For sure keep us posted!!

Well, it's been a few months since my last update on this build. The tins are finally painted and I started installing them today. My florescent lights make the paint look orange but it is actually IH red in a PPG base/clear formula. The decals are on their way from MapleHunter and a new seat is coming from one of our preferred vendors. The muffler and stack have not been painted because as soon as all the tin work is done, I'm installing one of Mike M's turbo kits. Working on my Cubs might go a little faster now, I retired last week after 43 years as a heavy truck mechanic.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
