Parts came in today. Took my vise off the work top and mounted it to a piece of 2x6 and then used the press to compress the spring.

A little more progress. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as the uninstalled parts pile is getting smaller. In the pile that I got from the PO was what I think is a complete 3 point hitch which I think I will clean up and install. I sold the weight box and the plow. I will clean up the deck and install that when done.

Finally had a little time to work on the CUB. Rebuilt the PTO, put the grill back together. Checked to make sure the ground is good from negative battery cable up to the regulator. So much new paint I paid a lot of attention and was careful to make sure I had good contact. Getting close to starting it!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
