Excellent work Matt. You might not bring it back from RPRU. Someone might offer you a price for her you can't refuse. I hope you had some fun restoring her. Although working with a short deadline has to take some of the fun out of it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and lessons learned. Peace to you and yours.

Very nice! Awsome work!

There is something magical when a engine starts up the first time after a rebuild.
The smell off fresh paint burning off the exhaust.
The smell and smoke of the assembly oil burning out of the combustion chamber.
Being able to hear and feel the engine loosen up from all the new parts mating together after it's first few seconds of runtime.
The thrill of making carb adjustments to make it run perfect.

After typing this,,,,I need a go take a cold shower!!!

Time to load this guy and the Diesel for Red Power...we'll head out bright and early tomorrow...

Thank you to all who have helped answer my questions and those who have sold me the random bits I have needed for this thing. I never could have done this without all of you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
