Cleared 'Round 1' of the snow. got about 7" on the ground, probably another 5" to go before this snowfall passes.
I just wish these Cubs had more front weight. With the plow straight and pushing straight the tractor does great with the wheel weights and another 150lbs on the rear hitch. Get a lot of snow in the plow when it's angled and there's no steering. Today's snow was heavy.. that made it worse.
With the 20MPH winds, sitting on a tractor beats trying to snow blow the stuff.
My neighbor was totally white, head to toe, as he quit after blowing half his driveway.

UPDATE: we totaled about 2 feet of snow. As the evening went on the total snowfall for our area kept increasing.
Got out there around 6:00a.m. with the Blower and Tug and made it all nice. The Full moon and the lack of wind made the whole experience very pleasant. Not sure if the neighbors like to wake up to the sound of a tractor but, at 6:00, they should be up too.

Didn't get any pictures but plowed our drives with the 149 then went to the neighbors with the 169 and cleared the drive for them.

Loaded up the wood box the other day before the next cold snap set in. Much easier to get around with the 782 & chains vs the 100 and just turf tires - kinda like slicks! The 100 is parked until the snow is gone unless I buy chains for it.

Hauled the parts tractor out behind the shed, until I'm ready to dismantle it. You can see the aftermath of the Michigan SNOWMAGEDDEN! I think I'll start sharpening the blades for the mower deck!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
