Took the 48 and the 54 decks off their tractors and got them cleaned up

Wow, wish mine were away for the Winter. I just mowed yesterday and it'll be another 4 or so weeks before I'm done.

One of the junkers at work here
122 hauled about 14 trailer loads of trimmings from the "Kudzu of shrubbery" ( russian olive ). It's smoky, rusty (preserved under satin clear :-) ) and incredibly reliable.

It's the first of probably 20+ loads of leaves to haul into the woods this season. Scrappy is sporting some weights I bought locally and installed yesterday.
Lipstick on a pig, it is!

I don't care what anyone else says, I love the look of cracked and chipped layers of paint, with a bit of patina mixed in. Very nice!

My goal is to prevent them from getting any worse, while fixing them up to a point where they're good to go to work again. That "O" survived a life of lawn/garden duty, then it survived life as a puller (where it sheared teeth off some of the trans gears), and then survived being left to rot in the woods for about 10 yrs. It earned it's chips and rust :-)

Needed a new belt for the hydraulic pump, so changed that out and put her to work last weekend. Belt runs off the driveshaft, and easiest way I saw to change it was slide the engine forward to get it on the pulley. 3 hour process that wasn't much fun, so tell me if there is an easier way in your opinion.
Also, had a construction entrance in the front yard for some work that was being done at the house, so wanted to get that cleaned up since they're done. Had to load and haul 20 tons of crushed concrete that I repurposed into a driveway/parking spot by the shop and did it with the massive loader and my makeshift dump truck. Takes a while to move that much material with my mini construction equipment.... The contractor also moved some dirt into the ditch to flatten it out for the entrance, so had to put it back where it belonged. Pretty compacted from concrete trucks running on it, so even had to put the ripper on to break it loose so I could load it and haul it, or put the box blade back on and move it. |

Sweet. My goal for 2022 is to find a bucket for my 782 and get it fitted.
