A few days ago I was only on my second day of big mowing with my new 1863, parked it for a little bit and came back to see all of its oil underneath it. And just when I thought I had one that would stay out of the shop!

![]() ![]() It looks WAY better in pictures than in person. There's a wide range of clover, alfalfa, crabgrass, and some other broadleaf. It's green, that's all I know. If the yard wasn't so big, I'd like to treat it and get rid of the undesirables, but that ain't happening, would cost a small fortune. ![]()

There is a section of my yard I've neglected to mow the last couple times since I was in a hurry, Saturday I had plenty of time and here's a video of the 1211 taking care of business. The grass was about 8" tall and when I was done the clippings were 4" thick, the 1211 has gator blades on it.

Worked at the cemetery filling in sunken pathways between rows of graves.
The 882 did an outstanding job. |

No doubt. The clippings were so deep they were locking up the lawn sweeper.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
