Started on the end of season service for my 2264. Pulled the deck, changed the oil & filter on the engine after 32 hours this season. Going to drain the hydro, replace the axle seals they are not leaking but I want to pull the axels and suck what ever crud is in the axle tubes out so I may as well stick a new set of seals in and be done with it, I'll install a set of Xtreme GT rear end braces, new filter and fluid, new Xtreme rear cover plate. Grease job and it will be ready for spring.

knowing all to well about loose valves and auto compression releases, i adjusted the valves, of course found very loose exhaust . still cranked hard, smoke came out of the starter motor, took it off and apart cleaned the armature and brushes ,oiled the dry oilite bushings and drive. turned over like new. but ran rough, pulled the plugs, left side was wet. right side perfect, check the spark. WEAK, o-well hand over $75.00 + tax to the shop for a new coil. runs better yet smokes a little, did a compression test OK, check the leak down, test's about 35% left side, no wonder it smoked more on left turns. 300 hours on the clock. tell the other half i need to spend a few hundred for a real kohler rebuild kit, or find a CV that fits rather to keep dealing with a SV 730 o-well there goes the NOV. SS check |

I sucked up leafs for the neighbors with my 1864 and vac. Then took the deck and all it’s goodies off and out the blade on the 1863. I’m still debating if I’m going to keep the 1863 or sell it. I have a walk behind snowblower, but might push some snow this winter for the fun of it.

very nice agri-fab leaf machine there, that itself is a beast
took the motor off my fake CC yesterday, pulled off the heads. left side needs a bore job, found online that small engine warehouse has a kt730 for 700. a predator won't work, while the shaft is right the cables & fuel line on the right not left exhaust all wrong making for lots of welding plus it's the same price as a new kohler have to use my 1978 12 hp for the last leaf and mow |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
