1. Its wired wrong.
2. Wrong switch 3. Short in wiring 4. High amperage draw Those are the only 4 things i can think of that would burn that switch up. There is no one specific answer to your question because you have not given enough information. Your going to need a wiring diagram and a meter. Then we can help you diagnose it.

It would also be helpful that you explain "burned up"
---Did you take it apart and see melted contacts inside? --- Was it hot and smoking? ---Were the terminals melted off on the outside? ----or did it just quit working. I think you see where we are coming from. In order to help we need facts and history or pictures in some instances. Calling the doctor and saying I'm not feeling good is not going to get much results, but if you added, yesterday I fell out of a pee cup truck on the highway we would get a better idea of your problem. |

Sounds like it just plum quit.
It could be out of gas, or engine done blowed up bat tree could of come unconnected wire could of come off something fuse could of blowed. some silly safety switch could of malfunctioned could have ignition system problems fuel flow could of stopped to engine. could of run over a brick or neighbors bowling ball Time to determine which system stopped it. Electrical? fuel? Air? Mechanical? If you don't understand simple diagnostics, you might consider taking it to a repair facility. I can't remember where I last put my tell all Crystal ball, so I can't do tela-pathetic mechanic, like them sitty doctors are now doing because of the china virus |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
