Default wheel bearing hub

I made this to tow my cub cadet 109 if something so go awry. The bearing is a GMB 770-0033. It fits pontiac Vibe 09-10 and toyota matix 09-13. the bearings studs match the cub wheel perfectly and the cub wheel nuts fit the studs. I fashioned the disc on the other side from a cub 100 metal clutch disc. Im short a bolt for the axle side but you get the idea. This allows the diff to spin backwards while towing the tractor forward. The Cubs i buy usually are not in running order so this is handy.

Smile wheel weights for cub 100

I haven't tried this yet but if someone wants to they could get a pair of am-1654082210 brake rotors and make inside wheel weights for any cub cadet that doesn't have disc brakes. They are all over the net for around $50 bucks a pair. Then add to them. Would definitely want to do a test fit first.

Need a better explanation on that hub, is there a bearing between the the hub that mounts to the axle and the wheel? Is this for one wheel?

Default bearing

yes there is a big bearing in there. It is a wheel bearing for a car that fits a cub cadet wheel. You only need one and if your tractor stops moving you take off the wheel and bolt this to the axle, then mount wheel to the bearing hub. as you tow the tractor the differential can spin backward in the tranny and the wheel can spin forward with out spinning the driveshaft. a vice grip on the drive shaft might help to keep it still also. hope this helps.

when i bought my 109 I had to drag it out of a barn, up a drive way and on to my trailer. Not fun. Then I made this.

Default wheel bearing

I bought mine on ebay for 15 bucks. You can find them in junk yards too.

One more thing, I have nuts on the bolts that would screw into axle. You can locktight them so they can spin to turn them in or use spacers.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
