Tex, you got a keeper there. There were very few of the 1050's made. As Hank Jr. said, it is on the bottom of the pan. You need to down load the Kohler Mag manual for the engine in your machine. If you have any problems let us know. Good luck!

Thanks, will get some pics posted shortly. It is in pretty good shape, runs well, clean body all panels intact. I paid $450 for it and bought it from the original owner. It does smoke on startup, will investigate more. Where can I find the manual for the motor, it is the Magnum 10. Thanks

One other quick question, how often does the tranny oil need to be changed and what fluid does it use. It looks clean, it is a manual transmission.

Still owe you guys pics, but I am in the process of repainting. Did not plan to do it, but had to pull motor to rebuild the clutch. Working on painting the frame tonight. Trying to find some motor mounts that are no longer available.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
