Default Can't Keep it to myself no more!

I told myself I wasn't gonna let these leak out till I was done with it,,,,,,,but I am just a big kid after all. I have been into Radio Control things for quite some time, Planes and trucks, and while lookin for something in the basement hobby area I spotted a set of monster truck tires. It hit me like a ton of brick's. Started doing the math, they are just a smidge over quarter scale for 23 inch tires. Yes, I said smidge, it's just a tad bit smaller than a skoosh. Any way, it's going to be, (if i am successful), an operating 123 when it's finished. It is currently, as you can see, held together with tape and prayers. I realize this isnt in the correct area,,,,,,,,,but not sure if there is one for this.

If you can make a functioning mower deck I'd mow the lawn every evening!

That's the way to use the old noodle! Great idea! Going to be alot of fun when building it and using it after it's built. Battery or Nitro?

I have some nitro engines, but reversing tranny would be a challenge. Probably go electric, with gear reducer.

Good point. I used to be into RC racing pretty bad. I managed my buddy's indoor r/c track for a while but have gotten out of the hobby to focus on the cubs. I still have my son's electric cars that we mess with from time to time. But my heart was into the nitro.

very, very cool project.

It would be great to see it out making little passes cutting the lawn, people would probably stop on the street by your place in amazement.

Now thats just plain AWESOME!!!!! Especially for me since i have a 123! I was at the Red Power Round Up when it was here in TN way back and i remember vividly a guy there that was selling fully functioning scaled down (about 1/16th scale) CC Originals. Every aspect of it looked exactly like the real thing and it all worked under its own power! It even had the oil bath air cleaner! I got to hang around long enough to see him take one off the table, start it with a push button, mashed the clutch and put it in 1st gear. Ive wanted to make a Cub like that ever since! Ill be watching this thread very closely!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
