Default 1641 snow blower

I have a Qa 42 snow blower mounted on my 1641 and was wondering if anyone knows what size belt it takes from the pto to the gear box? Thanks in advance

Well... a QA42 won't fit on a 1641, but a QA42A will attach.... BUT, it wasn't made to go on that tractor. Your on your own if you want to make it work. You will need a different pulley on the blower for sure unless that was last on an '82 style tractor. Even with a different pulley, I don't know if it would work on a cyclops.

I made a QA36A work on my 1864, but it took A LOT of jacking around. Make this piece, make that piece, grind this, weld that, start over...

It can be done, and it did work, but... lots of Monkey F****** around. Looking back, I would've done things a little differently, but still would have went that route cuz I didn't have $500-600.00 to shell out for a model 451!

Ended up scoring a good deal on a 1250 and a 1450 parts tractor so it looks like the 1641 will have a blade and the blower is going on my 1250 after I set the hydraulic lift up on it... seems like less headaches than making the blower work on the 1641 but thanks for the info

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
