Default 12hp motor

I'm kind of upset. My motor turned over perfect the other day. I got new points and condenser on it, and comes to the top and won't move. Is motor blown all ready or does any one know what I should do? Valves maybe..??

More details. What do you mean "comes to the top and won't move"?

It won't make a full rotation. The piston doesn't seem like it wants to go to the top.

It's a 126. I'm getting frustrated with it. I cant afford to do much with it, cause I'm laid off, but gotta mow my yard. I spent money I didn't really have for this problem to arise.

Can you turn the S/G pulley full rotation by hand?
More than once?

I suspect you have the ignition timing advance to far or your compression release isn't functioning. I'd check the timing since you messed with it

Yep that why I asked if he can turn it over by hand with the plug pulled. If not something else is wrong inside. Do you agree?

So, now its turning over, even fired a few times, but gas is pouring out of the carb. It's gonna sit till I can afford to fix it. I guess the grass is gonna grow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
