Default Interchange between deck series?

I have a 48" triangle deck here from a 129 that is "shot" (rusted out) but new looking pulleys and such. IS any of the topside deck hardware (pulleys and spindles mainly) interchangeable to a 44a/50a deck? I'd like to pitch the junk and pirate the good stuff to use on a better shell.

It is always good to pull off the good parts from your mower deck. You can (A) save them for future repairs, or (B) sell them.

To answer your question more precisely, a picture of your 48" deck or a model number is needed.

IMO save the parts on rotted out deck shells cuz my bet is someday someone will start stamping them out again. I've seen hoods being reproduced so I HOPE that mower decks will be next.

A picture of the spindles would be better, most triangle 48" deck spindles with the cast spindle housings only fit the 48" IH decks, they will not work on a 44 or 42" deck.
If they are the cast aluminum type they will work on other 44 and 50" decks.
The spindles also fit the 48" decks on the cub lo-boy also.

yeah I did that on the 44a that I scrapped out, it was patch upon patch.
I used some of the pickings to rebuild a friend's 50a, most of the rest are going to convert a 392 LT deck into a 44c since the shell is the same between them and I can't find a good deck of either size in my area for a decent price.
My son has an Original and he found reprouction decks for those somewhere (square, timed, cogged belt)
We have 3 of those, (original ones from back in the day, not the reproductions) hope to get 2 good ones out of them.
1 is a working deck or will be when I get a belt, but it has some patches, good worker, of the other 2 I think I can build 1 nice one for show though both are somewhat pitted up.

ok what about the pulleys? Right now that is my main concern.... will the pulleys from a 48" triangle deck as used originally on a 129, work on a 44a, 44c, 50a, or 50c deck?

The triangle decks I have are stored ~30 miles away, will be a while before i can get out there and out to the barn, lots and lots of rain here recently. but they are both shot/rusted out with many newer parts replaced.... one is a 48, the other is a 42"

Go here and compare the part numbers of the pulleys to the decks they fit.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
