782 Wiring problem
I obtained this tractor in December of 2014. After collecting repair parts and looking at the project over the years, I figured I better get this thing done or sell it. Currently, it is laying in pieces on my garage floor.
I had an M-18 overhauled and this engine will replace the parts missing KT-17. I have a used wiring harness from, what I am told, a newer 18 series tractor. It has an ignition switch, PTO switch, light connections Hour Meter, etc. I am told that there needs to be some sort of relay installed to stop the engine. Can anyone tell me how that works, and what I need to buy to make it work? I'll be posting some pictures soon. The painter should get it next week.

To stop the engine that uses a magneto, it needs to be grounded. Just use the ignition switch and wiring harness for a 1811.
