Where is the fuel pump?
This is bizarre! You can see my Cadet specs here in my signature. I can't find the fuel pump. The diagrams for this model show that it has one right after the fuel filter, but my fuel line goes from the fuel tank, then to the fuel filter, and then connects directly to the carburetor. I looked at the air filter base and all around the speed control bracket too. Does this particular model not have one? I would think all engines need a fuel pump. I also noticed there are no videos or steps for it online that I can find. Please tell me I'm not losing my mind.

Kohler Courage SV541-3212 uses a gravity fed carb and fuel filter. No fuel pump on that model.

I was thinking that exact same thing but I wonder why there was a part number for the pump and diagrams or something stated this was the case. I looked everywhere for an answer. I would think the service manual would say that.
Thanks for verifying this Bill.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
