Default Finally I found one

I've been looking for one of these for 4 years now, missed 2, but landed this one today. The guy I got it from got it off of evilbay from up north and never used it. It sat in his barn for 8 years. I need to adjust the lift chains and get the under side of the deck painted. I'll probably never use it but if/when I ever show my 982 I think it will look sweet behind it. It looks like all original paint and decals.

WOW that is an awesome find. I know what it is like when you are looking for that special attachment and when you finally find it, look out, no one is going to stop you from getting it. Great looking unit all hooked up.

Cool bush hog Oak! I've never seen one for a Cub. I'd thought about adding a rear PTO to my 100 just so I could build a bush hog for it.

Nice find, that is definitely a show worthy piece. Are you going to leave the original patina on it, or refresh all the paint? It looks like it is in great shape.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
