Default Spark plugs

Hello, first time posting. I have a 2022 ZT1 54 zero turn. It came out of winter good started and ran fine. I ran the old gas out mowing and when I refilled it , it ran like it was on full choke, black smoke and no power. When I engaged the
blades it just fell on it's face and died. First thing was to change the plugs, we have a NAPA and they didn't have a plug they could get me one next day which they did. Not even close. I tried to cross the plug and it isn't even listed in any of the guides that came up on a google search.

So after my long winded approach to ask a question what do I need for a plug for a 24 HP Kohler engine? Thanks, Ron

Was the fuel you put in fresh? Sounds like you have a fuel delivery issue, not enough fuel.

I ran the winter gas out until it stalled at empty, it's when I put fresh fuel in that it decided that it didn't want to work. The first time I tried to engage the mower with the fresh fuel it just loaded up blowing black smoke and just wouldn't work. It starts and idles fine. I took the carb off and cleaned it up but didn't really need it. I made a mistake and disconnected the control cable now I can't find the sweet spot.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
