New welder
Finally broke down and bought a new mig welder. Got the Hobart 210mvp. I had a Clarke 160en a few years ago, but it was stolen. Here's a couple pics. The weld is on 220 volts on cruddy/rusty steel with the included flux core wire. Been awhile since I've run a bead and I am as rusty as the metal If ya wanna make fun of my weld .....Go ahead!!!! that's the 1st one I did on this mig. Also picked up the grinder on clearance for $39 with extra cut off wheels and grinding wheels included. Gotta build me a cart now.

Looks good to me. Enjoy the mig. Once you get it on gas you will never go back to flux core.

Don't feel bad my welds with flux core look like crap too. I can do arc w/rod & mig w/gas that looks like a caulk job, but for some reason flux core just never flows right.

I have a Hobart Handler 187, you'll be happy with your 210.
I suggest taking the fluxcore off, sealing it in a bag and keeping it to use if you run out of welding gas and have to finish a job. |

Nice welder! Weld looks fine to me. Better then mine would look! Welding isn't really my expertise!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
