Default Mower deck ID

I did a search but couldn't find a ID chart that would tell me what my mower is. The number on the deck is 421U-1112. It measures 48" across. I need all the pulleys and was trying to find a parts manual so they could be ordered. Any ideas? It's going on my 124. Thanks Phil

You have a 42" deck.

Here is the link for the deck manual: http://ccmanuals.info/pdf/QA%2038-42...20Manual-1.pdf

Our sponsors up at the top of the page should be able to help you out. I would call or email them your info.

It would be a whole lot easier, if you would post a picture of this deck.

Thanks DX3... that's what I thought from the pic in that manual but wasn't sure. Is there a parts manual or do I just call one of the sponsors.

There is no manual with parts numbers. As said above a pic of your deck might help us to ID id exactly to make sure you get the right pulleys. But yes you would just simply call the sponsors to see if they have your parts available.

I beg to differ.
I have a IH mower deck parts manual.
Want a copy?

Well actually I would, LOL. OK, I'll put it this way. I have never seen one outside of a dealership that I could get my hands on.

DX_3:

The Parts Manual for the IH Implements was called a CPE-2. I think it stood for Consumer Products Equipment. I have one also.

The strange thing about the IH Mower Decks, it is a very confusing section for me. There were 3 generation of the 38, 42, & 48 inch decks but the model numbers were all the same. You have to determine the right deck by image. At least that is the way I see it. All other implements, seem to follow a specific model number (ie: QA-36 QA36A, etc)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
